Spanish Orange Isopods
I recently received a "starter colony" of Spanish Orange Isopods with an order and hopefully I'll be able to get them to breed and eventually add them to some of my spider enclosures that require a bit higher humidity.
Right now I have these housed in a small plastic container with only a little bit of ventilation. There is about 1" of peat moss and some "scrap litter" on top of it. I've been adding some leftover veggies from my lobster roach colony and they seem to be enjoying them.
I've now had the colony for several months and it seems to be doing well. I keep the substrate moist and toss in leftovers every week or so. I estimate there to be up to 100 adults and babies mixed in, although the babies are very small and difficult to see.
