Psalmopoeus pulcher

"Potter"

11/22/2006:  Placed male in female's container.  Female lives in 5 gallon aquarium on its side, but stays mainly in a plastic "jug" that is in the aquarium.  Male approached female and immediately began drumming and bouncing.  Female responded and appeared to be receptive.  After approximately 20 minutes of courtship, the male attempted to mate with female.  Male appeared to have a difficult time with foot placement, but eventually insertions were believed to have been seen.  Male is remaining to cohabitate with female.

11/23/2006:  Male still in female's enclosure.  Both were out and about in enclosure overnight.  Male seen grooming palps during the day.  Male will continue to cohabitate with female.

12/30/2006:  Male still in female's enclosure.  Female mainly stays in jug in middle of enclosure and male has made a retreat at the bottom of the back wall.  Female appears to be larger than before.  Food has been offered to both on a weekly basis.
