"Curly Hair"

Brachypelma albopilosum, the "Curly Hair Tarantula" is another classic beginner's species that is typically docile and has a medium growth rate.  Spiderlings and juveniles are readily available in the hobby (mainly through online dealers) and many enjoy the "permanent bad hair day" appearance.

B. albopilosum is native to Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

A simple setup with dry substrate, water dish, and a hide will serve this species well.  It does not typically burrow in captivity and is typically visible.
