Aphonopelma anax

"Texas Tan"

Aphonopelma anax, which hails from the southwestern US, is typically a docile species that is frequently available in the hobby.  The growth rate is very slow, as is typical for most Aphonopelma spp.

A simple setup consisting of a hide, dry substrate, and a water dish is all that is necessary.  There are no special heating or humidity requirements (a water dish will supply all necessary humidity).
