About Me

I'm a 25-year old female from just outside Chattanooga, TN. I've lived in the Chattanooga area my entire life and plan to eventually move a little bit farther north. I have been married to my husband, Andrew, for 3 years and we have two children - Joshua, 5, and Brooklyn, 2.

I have a B.S. in Middle Grades Education from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga (2003) and currently teach 6th grade math and science at an urban middle school in Chattanooga. Although it can be challenging, I thoroughly enjoy my job and the experiences I have gained through it.

My main hobby is collecting invertebrates, primarily tarantulas. Many people consider such a hobby to be "strange" or "unusual," but I think of it as not any different than gardening. Maintaining my collection has been a very relaxing and fascinating experience.

I plan to add a few editorial-type articles in the future, with my thoughts on certain issues.
